The surviving records of the Thames and Severn Canal Company held at Gloucestershire Archives give a fascinating insight to the canal, especially during its early days. Several volumes, have been photographed and, in due course, they will be available here for anyone to view or study them according to their level of interest. The first five of these, dating from the period 1783-1822 are available here now.
