Wild Honey is the name of a book of poetry discovered in a charity shop in Stroud. Research showed that the author was Joseph Blackmore Marmont (1822 – 1914). The dedication in the book was to his youngest son Basil  (1862-1947). Father and son were both prominent business men in the Stroud area. This article looks at the lives of the two men and their businesses and connections with another well known family in the area, the Newmans.
